Located in the historic, former Carnegie Library, Butterfield Stage began in 1979. A few prominent citizens got together and thought it would be a worth-while endeavor to create a community theatre. Roger Boyce, Tom Carson and Monica Hess are listed on the original papers and we have them to thank for the beginning of what has become an institution of quality and fun entertainment in Cooke County. Our goal is simple. We strive to culturally enrich, educate and entertain through the art of theatre and theatrical performance. With over 1,700 shows under our belt, we invite you to let us entertain you!
